F01 & F02 – Citywide Fireguard Certifications
In any occupancy where a required fire protection system is out of service, a firewatch must be maintained by one or more persons holding a Certificate of Fitness as an F-01 Citywide Fireguard for Impairment.
A Certificate of Fitness is also required for all Fire Guards in shelters where a sprinkler system is not installed or when a fire protection system is temporarily out of service, classified as F-02 Fireguard for Shelters (Citywide).
This training course prepares applicants to successfully complete the FDNY Computer-Based Exam at FDNY Headquarters (9 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY). The exam generally consists of 20 multiple-choice questions, with 30 minutes to complete, and requires a minimum passing score of 70%.
